MY STORY

Corey Hammond’s rise to the top of desert racing is defined by persistence, progression and determination.

At the 2025 Tatts Finke Desert Race, Hammond delivered a breakthrough performance, claiming his first King of the Desert title with a commanding victory margin of over 11 minutes.

His success was years in the making. From a 40th-place finish in his first Finke appearance five years earlier, Hammond steadily worked his way through the field, refining his approach and building deep knowledge of the course. A former Junior AORC Champion, he has remained a consistent and competitive force in Australian off-road racing for over a decade.

After finishing fourth in 2024 and stepping onto the top step in 2025, Hammond now enters the 2026 season with a single focus — to prove it was no one-off and defend his title.
